Youth Connections commenced operation in 1995 as the Central Coast Business Education Network, with a function of establishing and maintaining a database of employers who support and host structured workplace learning opportunities for HSC students studying VET subjects.

Youth Connections' stated mission is: "Leading communities in creating environments where young people can achieve purposeful futures through economic, social and civic participation."
